AA SITES OF AKRON TOURS!
Many of you will want to visit some of the historic landmarks in Akron where AA began in the summer of 1935. We are offering three optional tour times: Friday at 2:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tours will be by reservation only and take about 3 hours. Each guided tour will visit Dr. Bob’s home and the newly established archive next door, along with the Gate House at Stan Hywet Hall, and the grave-site at Mount Peace Cemetery. Tours will pass additional AA sites including the Mayflower Hotel, the Williams’ home, Kessler’s Donut Shop and King School. Please note your interest on the registration form and include the additional payment of $25.
Seating is limited to 76 persons each day on two trolley cars. One of two cars is already full on Friday. Early registration is encouraged.
SATURDAY MORNING FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST BUFFET
Our fellowship has a tradition of “the meeting before the meeting” on Saturday morning. Join us Saturday morning from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for a country style buffet breakfast on the 19th floor of the hotel with windows that overlook the area of Akron where AA recovery began. The event is open to all attendees but is not part of the convention’s meal package. Reservations are required and the cost is $20 per person. Please note your interest on the registration form and include the additional cost.
TALENT SHOW & ENTERTAINMENT SATURDAY NIGHT
Bring your creative energy to share with us after the banquet on Saturday night. We encourage you to bring songs, music, readings, skits and/or comedy routines to make the event enjoyable for all.
Auditions will be held on the 19th floor, City View North from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The show itself will close with a "jam session". All are invited to participate.
